Made in Bangladesh Expo™ 2025 Successfully Wraps Up in Jeddah
The Made in Bangladesh Expo has concluded successfully in Jeddah, reinforcing Bangladesh’s growing reputation as a competitive sourcing destination and deepening trade and investment ties with Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.
Held from December 11–13, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, the three-day international exhibition brought together 40 export-oriented companies from Bangladesh, including seven exhibitors nominated by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
Showcasing Bangladesh’s Export Strength
The participating companies represented a diverse range of high-potential sectors such as ready-made garments (RMG), agro and halal food products, ICT and digital services, plastics, jute and jute-based products, alongside real estate and hospitality investment offerings. This sectoral diversity enabled international buyers and investors to gain a comprehensive view of Bangladesh’s expanding export capabilities.
Strong Commercial Results
According to the organisers, the expo delivered tangible business outcomes, generating confirmed export orders worth USD 475,000. In addition, investment commitments totaling USD 546,000—primarily focused on real estate and hospitality—were secured during the event. Beyond confirmed deals, potential business transactions estimated at USD 1.25 million are currently under negotiation following post-expo engagement between exhibitors and buyers.

High Buyer Turnout and B2B Engagement
The expo attracted more than 1,000 trade visitors, including buyers, importers, distributors, investors, sourcing agents, and business council representatives from Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries. Throughout the event:
- 23 formal trade enquiries were registered
- 55 structured B2B meetings were facilitated
- Over 200 new business connections were established
These interactions highlighted the expo’s effectiveness as a results-driven B2B platform.
Distinguished Guests and Official Support
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Honourable Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah, Md Shakhawat Hossain. The closing ceremony was attended by Osama Kokandi, Chairman of the Saudi Economic Council, as the chief guest—further strengthening the event’s profile and credibility within the Saudi business community.
Building Trust in the Middle Eastern Market
Addressing the post-event Meet the Press session, Md Liton Ahmed, Founder and Chairman of the Made in Bangladesh Expo™ and the Global Trade Promotion Council of Bangladesh (GTPCB), emphasized that the initiative aims to establish “Made in Bangladesh” as a trusted and sustainable sourcing brand in the Middle East.
He noted that buyers demonstrated strong interest in Bangladeshi products due to competitive pricing, improved quality compliance, and the advantage of direct engagement with manufacturers. He also highlighted that the Saudi market favors long-term partnerships, creating sustainable opportunities for Bangladeshi exporters.
Future Expansion Plans
Organisers confirmed that the Made in Bangladesh Expo™ will continue its global journey, with plans to expand into additional strategic international markets. These initiatives align with Bangladesh’s broader goals of export diversification, increased foreign direct investment, and stronger global brand positioning.
The successful completion of the Saudi Arabia Edition 2025 stands as a testament to Bangladesh’s rising prominence in international trade and its deepening economic partnership with the GCC region.
