Made in Bangladesh Expo™ 2025 in Jeddah Showcases Strong Export & Investment Momentum

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia | December 2025

The Made in Bangladesh Expo™: Saudi Arabia Edition 2025 has concluded successfully in Jeddah, reinforcing Bangladesh’s growing presence in the Middle Eastern and GCC markets. Organized as a single-country international trade exhibition, the event served as a high-impact platform for export promotion, business matchmaking, and long-term investment engagement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.

Held from December 11 to 13, 2025 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Jeddah, the three-day Expo brought together Bangladeshi manufacturers, exporters, and developers with Saudi and regional buyers, distributors, investors, and sourcing agents.

Expanding Bangladesh’s Global Trade Footprint

The Expo was designed to promote Bangladeshi exportable goods and services while strengthening bilateral commercial ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Emphasis was placed on direct B2B interaction, national branding under the “Made in Bangladesh™” initiative, and exploring diversified export opportunities beyond traditional markets.

A total of 40 export-oriented Bangladeshi companies participated, representing sectors such as Ready-Made Garments (RMG), Agro & Halal Food Products, ICT & Digital Services, Plastics, Jute & Jute-Diversified Products, and Real Estate & Hospitality. The event attracted more than 1,000 visitors, including Saudi importers, GCC buyers, investors, and Bangladeshi diaspora entrepreneurs actively engaged in cross-border trade.

Measurable Business Results and Buyer Interest

The Expo generated notable commercial outcomes, reflecting strong buyer confidence and market demand for Bangladeshi products:

  • Confirmed export orders valued at USD 475,000
  • Confirmed investment commitments of USD 546,000, mainly in real estate and hospitality
  • Prospective business deals worth approximately USD 1.25 million, currently under negotiation
  • 55 structured B2B meetings facilitated
  • 200+ new business contacts established

Confirmed export orders were recorded in product categories such as plastics, garments, jute products, and FMCG, while investment-focused discussions dominated the real estate and hospitality segments.

Sector Highlights and Market Insights

Several key trends emerged from buyer interactions and exhibitor feedback:

  • RMG and textiles received very positive responses from Saudi and GCC buyers
  • Agro and halal food products attracted strong interest, particularly where certification and traceability were ensured
  • ICT and digital services generated growing inquiries related to outsourcing and software development
  • Real estate projects drew long-term, investor-driven engagement rather than short-term transactions

Buyers showed a clear preference for direct sourcing from Bangladesh, with strong emphasis on quality assurance, competitive pricing, compliance, and long-term supplier relationships.

Strategic Partnership Through MoU

One of the major milestones of the Expo was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KIDLON Baby Care Products (Bangladesh) and LAAM Technology Global Co. (Saudi Arabia). Under this agreement, Bangladeshi baby care products will be distributed in the Saudi market, representing a commercial value of USD 440,000. This partnership highlights Saudi Arabia’s growing confidence in Bangladesh’s manufacturing capabilities and non-traditional export sectors.

Overall Assessment and Future Outlook

The Expo was widely assessed as commercially successful and strategically effective, with high business relevance, strong visitor quality, and positive exhibitor feedback. Beyond immediate trade and investment outcomes, the event enhanced Bangladesh’s international visibility and reinforced its image as a reliable sourcing destination for the Saudi and GCC markets.

By fostering direct engagement, encouraging long-term partnerships, and supporting export diversification, the Made in Bangladesh Expo™: Saudi Arabia Edition 2025 has laid a solid foundation for continued trade cooperation and future editions in the region.
