Made in Bangladesh Expo™ 2025’ Successfully Wraps Up in Jeddah

Post-Event Outcomes and Trade Successes Shared at Meet the Press

The Made in Bangladesh Expo™: Saudi Arabia Edition 2025 has concluded successfully in Jeddah, marking a major step forward in strengthening Bangladesh’s export growth and international trade presence. Following the expo, a Meet the Press session was held in Jeddah to highlight its overall performance, commercial achievements, and strategic direction ahead.

Held from 11–13 December 2025 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Jeddah, the international trade exhibition brought together 40 Bangladeshi companies, including seven enterprises supported by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB). The expo showcased a wide spectrum of Bangladeshi industries such as ready-made garments (RMG), agro and halal food products, ICT and digital services, plastics, jute and jute-based goods, as well as real estate and hospitality.

During the press briefing, the organisers revealed impressive post-expo business outcomes, including:

  • Confirmed export orders worth USD 475,000
  • Confirmed investments of USD 546,000 in real estate and hospitality
  • 23 trade enquiries received
  • 55 B2B meetings conducted
  • More than 200 new business connections established

The expo was formally inaugurated by Md. Sakhawat Hossain, Honorable Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah. The closing ceremony featured Osama Kokandi, Chairman of the Saudi Economic Council, underscoring the event’s growing importance within the regional and international business community.

Speaking at the Meet the Press, Md. Liton Ahmed, Founder and Chairman of the Global Trade Promotion Council of Bangladesh (GTPCB) and Made in Bangladesh Expo™, noted:

“The expo has played a vital role in elevating the Made in Bangladesh™ brand internationally. Buyers from Saudi Arabia and across the GCC region demonstrated strong confidence in Bangladesh’s product quality, competitive pricing, and direct sourcing capabilities.”

He further emphasized that similar trade expos will be organised in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries to accelerate Bangladesh’s export expansion and attract new investment opportunities.

Members of the press attending the session expressed appreciation for the expo’s professional execution, tangible commercial outcomes, and its strong potential to deepen Bangladesh–GCC trade relations in the years ahead.
